140/365 – Heart of Robert the Bruce

Robert the Bruce was famous for defeating Edward I at the Battle of Bannockburn, and is naturally a Scottish hero. His heart (or what we all presume is his heart) is buried at Melrose Abbey, which we visited yesterday.  Here is the commemorative stone which marks the spot where his heart is buried. (Here’s a website with a wee bit of information about him: http://www.aboutscotland.com/history/melbruce.html
